Panic Disorder Individuals with this disorder experience recurrent, unexpected panic attacks with or without Agoraphobia that are followed by at least a month of worry about having additional attacks, concern about the implications of attacks, or a change in behavior related to the attacks. Specific Phobia Individuals with this disorder have an excessive unreasonable fear of exposure to a specific object or situation that provokes an immediate anxiety response that may take the form of a panic attack. The object or situation is avoided by the person or endured with intense distress. The person knows recognizes that the fear is unreasonable. Social Phobia Individuals with this disorder fear one or more social or performance situations in which they are exposed to scrutiny by others and fear that they will act in a way that will be humiliating or embarrassing. Exposure to the feared situation almost invariably provokes anxiety that may take the form of a panic attack. The feared situations are avoided or endured with intense anxiety or distress. The individual realized that the fear is unreasonable. Generalized Anxiety Disorder Individuals with this disorder have excessive anxiety and worry that they cannot control a number of events or activities. The anxiety lasts for at least 6 months and the focus of the anxiety is not confined to the features of another Axis I disorder. The anxiety and worry are associated with at least three of the following symptoms.
